I don't have any photos but many years ago I found a "wolf spider", when I put a cup over it though it tried to spit something at me! And I've tried to research this behavior and found no connection between wolf spiders and spitting, which makes me think that although it looked like one, it wasn't. The spit was a cream color and had small short black hair looking things in it. Anyone know anything about this? I've always been curious to know.

Wolf spiders and spitting?
There are many spitting spiders. Was this is TX? All the spitters are in the Scytodidae family.
