I caught this wee beastie just a few minutes ago :
unfortunately in the kerfuffle i did manage to take a leg off (the spider, not me!) ... but its very jumpy - and to me it doesn't look like the average house spider! Am i right? ... what kind of spider is it? it looks like its got sort of a velveted body ...
Judging from its spinnerets, it could be a funnel weaver/grass spider.
