Actually, this is a fruit fly isn't it? Whoops. I keep absolutely no garbage in the apartment, nor open food in cabinets. Why do I have so many of them?
Tiny gnats could also be fungus gnats, can live in moist plant soil or from moldy drains...?
Pomace/vinegar fly in family Drosophilidae. Often (and incorrectly) called 'fruit flies'),
