I spotted this beauty last night crawling across my living room floor (maybe he/she wanted to catch some of the NBA finals too?). I stunned it enough to be able to pick it up and throw in a container where I doused it with Ortho Home Max that ultimately killed it. Anyway, it was particularly frightening for my girlfriend and I want to make sure this isn't poisonous and also where it may be residing (vents, basement, foundation?). The Ortho Home Max has worked in the past, but can anyone assist me in identifying this critter?
If it's any assistance, I live in the Philadelphia suburbs in a small end-unit townhome.
Thanks for your help!!!

What kind of spider is this and where does it live?
Wolf spider, not dangerous. They often come indoors when prowling for prey; next time, just shoo it into a container and release it outdoors.
