I've recently been finding these reddish-brown bugs around my house and occasionally inside when they manage to crawl under my poorly-weatherstripped sliding glass doors. I live adjacent to a wetland area and these bugs have been appearing before/during/after periods of heavy rain. Of note: I have yet to see one alive so I'm not sure how they get around, ie: jumping, crawling, running, etc. They seem to be easy prey to my efforts at home perimeter pest control and only get no more than 18 inches into the house before keeling over. They are actually quite thin if propped "upright" (measuring about 1/16" to 1/8" thick) and it is difficult to distinguish the heads from the tail ends of these critters.
