I found two of these dark reddish/brown pupa just under the soil whilst gardening. They are 24mm long and 7mm across at the widest point. I've done a little research and I think they could belong to some sort of moth but was wondering whether anyone could identify the species? Any suggestions? Thanks. :)

Maybe this one - http://www.ukleps.org/PupaeScByFamGroups.html
Thanks Flapdoodle :) It looks similar to the large yellow underwing and angle shades species, the only problem is that all of the moths listed have a cremaster at the end with two or more prongs, my pupa only has one :/ - I guess part of it could have been broken off somehow? thanks again.
Not a June bug?
Another possibility is a sphinx moth pupa - go to http://tpittaway.tripod.com/china/l_pop.htm and scroll down to near the bottom.
Just took a look at the sphinx moth and it looks almost identical except for the antenna which don't seem to have fronds on my pupa :( thanks.
