Where is your building? The spider in question looks very much like a tarantula....if you live in a normally dry area that is experiencing rain right now, they are probably seeking a dry place.

Tell me where exactly you are, and I could tell you what kind (or kinds) of tarantulas are in your area.......Almost none of the North American variety are worth being concerned about venom wise, just shoo it into a cup or something and take it out in a field and let it go... :)
