CLOSED: This is common but i don't know its name

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

As I removed an oleander from its nursery pot, the bottom was crawling with these bugs. Well, not crawling but there were 2-3 in sight and I guess maybe more hidden in the soil. What is it? thanks for your help

Woodlouse. There are several kinds.

yep, that's it. I googled a bit and see that it's aka pill bug. I thought pill bugs were the little worms that shaped themselves into circles. I guess I was wrong or else various critters are called pilll bugs. In any case, I couldn't find anything that suggests it hurts the plant--only that they live in areas of high moisture.

thanks for your help despite the bad pic.

We have tons of them and, as far as I can tell, they eat yard debris, nothing living.
