CLOSED: Please help me identify this insect

South Eastern, NC(Zone 8a)

I have looked all over the internet trying to find out what insect this is with no luck so far. I have found these on my tomato seedling. This is about 1/4" (5mm) long and about 1/16" (2mm) tall. I have also seen some that were a little bit smaller. I try not to kill beneficial insects and I am interested to see if this is a beneficial or a detrimental insect or just what it is. Thank you in advance.
