I know this will be difficult without a pic, but all I have is a camera phone and when I tried to take a pic of this little guy, it was unrecognizable.
I found him on the underside of one of my tomato plant leaves. there were numerous holes in the leaf. He is less than a 1/4 inch long, light green with dark green stripes running down the length of his body and two dark 'eye' spots on either side of his head ( or it might be his butt, cant really tell..hehe). Any idea what type of cat he is? should I panic?

When it is moving, can you tell if the front end is much narrower than the hind end? If so, you may have a beneficial flower fly larva that feeds on aphids - http://bugguide.net/node/view/182612
no, the front end seems slightly wider than the hind end.
Without an image, this one will be very difficult, then.
Yeah, I figured :( am trying to find something on the web, but so fart I havent found anything
ok, after closer inspection and alot of time spent 'googling'.. I have determined it is the Southern Army Worm. Yikes... now what???
