Sheila, that's the wrong pic, but I know which one you're talking about. If it's any consolation, I didn't even notice until after I'd posted it! LOL

Certainly no thanks needed for hosting our party, but to you all----a big "YOU'RE WELCOME." I loved having you all, I agree with you that it was soooo fun seeing everyone again. Loved it!!
Ok, about Jeff.....I'm sure he was just trying to think of a use for his new tool, as he knew for sure he wouldn't be using it for it's intended purpose. BTW, I love it, and it's mine now.
The hibiscus is Rose Mallow. It's very hardy, and I've only had to replace it once (I think) in about 12 years. I try put about 2 inches of mulch on it before the first freeze after I've cut it back to the ground. Please advise--should I dig more of it out to thin? The stalks have been more spindly the last 3 years or so and not as high. Should I dig some out of the middle?
Thanks to all who were so sweet and kind to Maddy and Austin. They are thrilled with all the plants you gave them. They spent the night again, and this morning, first thing, they were out there checking on their "babies." I had to call them in to get ready for church. Their families are here for Sunday dinners, and it was a hoot seeing them trying to get everything into their family cars tonight when they left. In fact, I'm baby-sitting some of Austin's until next Sunday.
The canna is Tropicanna.
Thanks to all for the nice comments about our place. It truly is a little bit of heaven to us. God has blessed us beyond measure with a home where our grandchildren could grow up together, ride horses, fish in the tank, play football and soccer in the front yard (death to bird feeders and flower pots), take walks, run and scuffle. So much more than we deserve, but then isn't that just like God?
aMEN SUSTAG sybal !
I cannot see a THING at night to type so
will; get back with yall tomorrow !
Anyone have other plants to id..... here is a link. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1255184/
Josephine....you posted that picture!! LOL
I am sorry, it is the only one I had with Frank in it.
And more.....
The table after the rush!
Thank you all for welcoming my neighbor Jeff, his gf Whitney and her beautiful daughter Bree. Jeff is on DG but I don't know his id yet.
Trishann...I didn't ask, did you make the redneck wine glasses? I posted this pic on fb and told my group that went on the cruise that they would be perfect on ship in rough seas. LOL!
Hope Herman comes next time and gets back to his picture taking...I forget.

Update on my take home RU critters.....!
The Black Swallowtail came out this morning!
The Gulf cats are eating away at my passiflora.
Pipevine cats from Josephine, are still munching away....so loud I can hear them!
In the process of gathering them more leaves I found eggs and my own pipevine caterpillars! Woohoo!
My babies are getting big!! LOL
Beautiful swallowtail!
Did anyone's bees emerge? I'm hoping that I didn't keep them in the refrigerator too long...
Mine did emerge yesterday.
I let mine out yesterday, all tubes emerged, all flew away. Got my house for them today and have it installed. Hope they hang around, thanks again.
Oh Dennis...I forgot to mention them....sorry! I took more pictures of the bees, but they turned out fuzzy. A lot of mine have emerged. I had some chew their way through the sides of the tubes, I guess it was because they saw a light? Herman made me two houses from 4 x 4 blocks so I am set; I hope they can find them. I placed the houses near a flower bed and my citrus trees on the shop deck where I have them.
I imagine the bees had quite a shock going from the frigerator to 80 degrees! LOL! I kept them in the shop the first evening inside a bf cage, and three had come out by morning. I took pictures and released them, not realizing the pics were not clear! This one was taken later on, it's not too bad.
Should I be able to see all the way through the tube if they all emerge?

Mine chewed through the sides too and off they went...
Mine were out and ready to fly off this morning (I put them on the Dill). Thank you Dennis :)
I an glad to hear that they survived their extra long hibernation. I guess that I got lucky that mine immediately moved into the tubes I provided. If they don't move into the tubes then at least you should have them in your neighborhood.
Could be mine started setting up in the houses...I just haven't been watching. I will keep an eye out and let you know.
I am really sorry I missed the RU this year!!!! I didn't mean to, I just didn't get online enough to see when it was!! I miss you folks!! hahaha
Well, don't forget to check in the fall.
Josephine
I know that it is really early for this, but I would love to host the fall roundup at my house.
That is very nice of you Tina, but how far from DFW is Caddo Mills?
I'm not Tina, but I have to say, it sure is time to have one on this side of the metroplex.
I'm with Patti!! :-)
Carla
We didn't get a large turn out for the last one and I think it was the drive.
Yes, Cheryl it is hard to get everyone at one place. I still think we have great turnouts for the FW and Burleson RUs. But, that said....I would encourage Tina and others in her area to organize another RU in the NE TX area. I just think it is too far to call it North Central TX, so I would still want to have one here.
I pulled it up and Caddo Mills is about an hour and 30 mins through Dallas for me, so I wouldn't want to be counted on to help. People like Patricia (patrob) that comes up from the south would not be willing to drive that additional distance either I bet. I am sure there is a lot of members that would make the trip there, maybe some new people that haven't come before. Those from Jacksonville area may join with Tina also, maybe even team up with Phyllis to organize. Sometimes we get so large that we don't have time to visit with everyone, small events are just as hard to plan and just as much work however.
I think that Tina teeming up with Phyllis is a great idea, she is really good and the east Texas group has been kind of quiet lately.
That way those that live in east Texas have a choice without having to go too far.
Let us think about this and see what people think.
Josephine.
Not sure about distances but I think
it would be nice to have ome in the
Tyler area during rose festival or
the Arboretum when somrehing like
Chilhuly is going on
I really want to go see the Chilhuly exhibit when it gets cooler later this year. I have never been to Discover Gardens or the Dallas Arboretum....I know I should have long ago. LOL!
You guys, are you sure you aren't confusing Caddo Mills with Caddo Lake? Caddo Mills is 110 miles from Tyler (farther from Tyler than I am). It's just east of Royse City.
I honestly don't know where it is.
Tina, thank you for offering to have the fall RU at your place. I hope to be there and will help you if I can.
Baja, that a Kewl idea! I can come to Tyler for the weekend and look around. LMK :)
... and yes Sheila, I will go. lol
If you want to have two RUs, we can have one out here. On the other hand, I don't expect or deserve to have all that fun every time, so I'm happy for others to have the chance to host, too.
WWhen you put up with this rowdy
bunch, you are entitled to a little fun !
About Chihuly, I just heard them
talking about it on channel 4 and
the sculptures will br lit up at night ...
can you imagine huge colored glass
sculptures illuminated at night ????

Sylvia
