That "pink moss" is too cool! I was down in VA last month and was admiring the red buds everywhere too. I am embarrassed to say that I lived in NOVA and never went to Mount Vernon. There is so much to see and do down there. If only the traffic wasn't so horrendous! Wonderful pics.

1.) I took a few more pictures of the progress, this is the pond area. The apple tree's are staying, but we had to move alot of blackberry bushes and ramble out of this area.
2. & 3.) Bill, these are a few of the rocks we've pulled out.
4.) Foundation now has a floor. :)
5.) The company that did the foundation work is called Sawyer Bros. Inc. and they do amazing work! They put more re-bar in than needed because he wants his work to last and last. This is the smoothest concrete floor i've seen!

This is looking out from the front of the foundation, my porch/deck with rocking chairs will over look this area as it is where the 2nd and bigger pond will be. ^_^

Don'tcha just love it when people take pride in their workmanship and not skimp or take shortcuts because it won't be seen so no one will know?

That will be a lovely spot to chillax. Looking forward to sharing it with you in 2015.

Thought i'd update this thread and show how far Brian has come despite the rain.

It's coming right along considering the torrential rains.

1) We will have a great view of the big pond off the deck...imagine a pond there. ^_^
2) Looking from the small pond toward the house.
3) Since clearing under the apple tree's near the little pond we found an abundance of Jack-in-the-pulpits!!!

It's going to be beautiful!

That IS coming along quite nicely! Lovely size deck and I DO imagine a pond there. Will it hold all of us?

Can't believe Brian got all that done....wow....oh, yeah, we'll all be on that deck!

The ones that don't fit on the deck can sit in the Gazebo I plan on having near the big pond. :)
