Please help ID this spider

Hey Everyone,

Hoping you all can help. I found a whole nest of these spiders on around the outside windows of our house. So far I've seen about 10 of them. My main concern is that I have have a 2 and 4 year old that play in the back yard near were these spiders are and would like to ID them and know if they are dangerous.

Cobweb spider - maybe the common house spider - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasteatoda_tepidariorum
