Happened to find to this big guy (~2cm long not counting antennae) on the same log with the Icerya jaihind (yes, this little guy still on the same log after one day)...Have you come across this kind of beetle before?
What kind of beetle is it?
Not a beetle but a true bug - likely a Physopelta sp.; variously placed in the families Largidae and Pyrrhocoridae
