Hi there,
Any chance anyone might know what this beautiful butterfly is? (or moth?). It was found in the summer last year in Mt. Rainier National Park.
Thanks in advance for the help.

fritillary of some type. =)
Great, thanks! It always amazes me how much people know about insects- I have much to learn. Thanks again!
Possibly Speyeria cybele or Speyeria coronis; some fritillaries can be quite variable and difficult to separate.
there's really no way to tell on a picture this small from that distance =/
