The one on the left looks alot like alatocaerulea. Just got one from ebay. Can't wait to see it bloom!
Ifyou did get that one your going to love it good bloomer so far caterpillars are leaving it alone
Lovely! I can't wait for mine to start blooming .. they are just barely waking up from winter and starting to climb!
In MD I had gorgeous Clematis - 3 colors all intermingled along the stair railing....................... I've not traded those for the Passion Vines. The flowers are addicting and I'm hoping for a lot of butterflies.
One of my NOIDs has a bud! getting excited here! The rest are climbing. Here's what I have going this year:
Passiflora X allardii - Let's hope this one finally blooms this year .. have no idea what it looks like.
Passiflora foetida var. gossypifolia – Cotton Leaf
Passiflora aurantia
Passiflora – Lady Margaret
Passiflora ? - NOID Blue
Passiflora triafciata
Very nice I have quite a few I buy the plastic coated shelving there perfect for a trellis nail them to 10 ft 2x4 leave 2 ft overhang of board to bury in the ground it works well foe these Incense is just starting slow this year. The red is going to town had 6 flowers open today. We can leave them in the ground here and protect during the really cold spells. Why does your second pic have 2 different colors flowers? Aurantia I almost bought that one tried all kinds of seeds gave up on seeds on this one.
The Aurantia starts out a pale pale peach and darkens with age til it's almost a deep red. They are very hard to start from seed. I've planted hundreds from fruit harvest last season and so far nothing has come up. This plant I grew from seed .. I planted 4 seeds in Fall of 2009 and one finally germinated late Summer of 2010. I managed (barely) to keep it going through the Winter until Spring of 2011 where it then took off like a rocket and bloomed.
You can see the cycle in the picture .. upper left hand corner a bud, then a newly opened flower. It starts darkening about 9 hours after opening until it's spent and you can see a fruit forming in the lower right hand corner.
