Xeramtheum wrote: The Aurantia starts out a pale pale peach and darkens with age til it's almost a deep red. They are very hard to start from seed. I've planted hundreds from fruit harvest last season and so far nothing has come up. This plant I grew from seed .. I planted 4 seeds in Fall of 2009 and one finally germinated late Summer of 2010. I managed (barely) to keep it going through the Winter until Spring of 2011 where it then took off like a rocket and bloomed. You can see the cycle in the picture .. upper left hand corner a bud, then a newly opened flower. It starts darkening about 9 hours after opening until it's spent and you can see a fruit forming in the lower right hand corner. This message was edited May 3, 2012 9:26 PM |
