OMG is this Spider, scary furry Florida

Dunedin, FL

OK it's no doubt that Florida is home to a bazillion bugs. When I was younger this didn't bug me so much, but now that i am older I getting freaked out by the things I am finding in my yard. I live in Dunedin, FL on the west coast about 2 miles to the Gulf of Mexico (just in case this helps) I was out cleaning the pool and saw this, thankfully dead spider. If it was alive I would've had a heart attack and not been able to post here for help. I hate spiders, I would rather walk out and see a gator in my yard. So here it is this dead spider, it is about the size of a quarter shriveled up here. I hope the photos are enough help. If not maybe when the lighting changes outside I can get better ones. It looks furry. Hope u can zoom in or save the pic than zoom in, Im freaking out here and wont let anyone go out back or in the pool. the third pic is of it upside down.

I tried to look over some of the spider images but it was making me nauseous and squirm-ish so any help would be appreciated.

Oh and I have heard it is next to impossible to put down insecticide that will kill spiders since not much of the spider touches the ground, any help here would also be appreciated.

It is a harmless orb weaver, possibly an Eriophora sp., that accidentally fell in the pool. The only dangerous spiders in Florida are the widow spiders (Latrodectus sp.).

Holy Crap we have Widow spiders here? Someone told me we have brown recluses here, please tell me this is false!

Widow spiders occur in nearly every state. Brown recluses are not native to Florida.

The wikipedia has a range map for the brown recluse. Should ease your worries a bit on that end.
