I found this spider in my house...it is very small and has large black fang looking things on it. I found it near a little girl i babysit so i killed it. I need to know if they are dangerous or anything because there are probably more of them in here :(
Furry, Black spider with three orange marks on back
cant tell for sure but looks like phidippus audax to me (bold jumping spider)
completely harmless, and my absolute favorite spider.
i let them roam my house in the summer, since they are such good little bug catchers.
in 25 years i've only been bitten once, and that was when i was little, and probably accidentally squeezed it while handling it by accident. (I had it in my hands)
And the bites are nothing ;)
check the dangs to see if they are bright green. that's a dead giveaway.

We actually keep one of these as a pet :) They are very curious spiders and non aggressive towards people.Like Lady Ashley said they are excellent hunters and like to eat bad (aggressive/biting) spiders in our house so we like having them around.
