Hello,
Looking to ID this little creature. Found it on the floor, my dog was curious about what it was as well. Smaller insect, probably about the size of a black bean. has a small lighter color in the "shoulder" area that had a couple round looking dots. it seemed to enjoy lying on its back after I scooped it up. Image attached.
