What is the harm if I prune my variegated privet before it flowers this spring? It needs pruning/trimming really bad, but should I wait until after it flowers, or does that matter at all?
I live in north central Texas and many shrubs and flowers are already flowering and leafing out.
Thank for any info you can share!
Pruning a Variegated Privet
With most privets, you likely won't even slow it down.
It may have less flowering this year, but your overall goal should be achieved. Pay more attention to moisture and nutrition this year...at least until it outgrows its former stature.
It is a grower! Thanks so much!
