Approaching 40 right now, headed to 45 or so........

35 and sunny

On my drive home tonight I ended up in the worst blowing snow I've seen in a couple of years.

Ha ha. I'd say peeping birds, but typos give us much better ideas.

Wow, you're way up there, Doug. Had to check the map. My neighbor is originally from Canastota.

In the area where I am weather can be very localized. Two or three miles can and you are in a totally different world. The great lakes have a big influence on our weather and I personally believe that Oneida lake also steers weather also. I actually live about a mile south of the Barge(Erie now) canal and two miles from Oneida lake. There is usually much more snow on the north side of the lake than the south. There is a ridge of hills that run from around Albany west to around Auburn. These tend to push snow storms that come out of the Gulf east of us and lake effect snow stays north of us a lot. Between the two There is a five mile wide swath that gets less snow than surrounding areas.

28 degrees & snow overnight. I think it has stopped snowing, but some sort of moisture in the air.

19 °F now, high of 37 today. Going to Charlies 1st Birthday Party!

Oh, happy birthday to that handsome little guy! It's 27 here, sunny, windy, very March-like.....

Not so far away from Iris, we had a sunny morning, a few snowflakes in the air and hour ago , a few clouds and temp to 40F. Would have been fine to work outside in the sun this am.

39 2" of snow is melting.

57 and sunny. Lots better than yesterday which was 46 and very windy.

56F and sunny. Spring is popping up! Cabin-fever pooch gets a walk today after lunch.

We were in the 50s & DH got some of the old leaves raked to uncover plants. New crocus in a different location than the ones against the house. those are pretty well finished.

GORGEOUS day high was 61°

Good morning, everyone. Been very busy and not posting here, but things have settled now.

Got to the mid 50's with sunshine in WNY yesterday. Going to the mid 50's with some rain later.

Today is my birthday and it usually snows on March 12. I have a clear memory of taking a box of cupcakes to school on my birthday when I was in 1st grade. It was icy and I slipped and dropped the cupcakes all over the place. LOL ☺

Now I can order from the Senior Menu at Denny's (age 55+). My wife may take me there for a free Grand Slam today.
