I found these on a carpet under a couch. There were a few live ones, I pictured them here, and many dead ones. If anyone know what these are, I would appreciate a head's up.

Spider Beetle
Genus: Mezium

Article on the american spider beetle (though it doesn't have to be this particular species, hopefully someone can give you a better ID)
