This appeared a few minutes ago in my patio. It was small, it could fit in a quarter.
Please let me know what kind of spider is this, should I be concerned to let my son play in the area, do they live in groups, should I fumigate...

Ground spider (Gnaphosidae) - harmless to humans; no need for any control.
