Here are the changes and improvments I've made this summer.
Berries on bushes the back deck extened and the flowerbed under it extended. Cotoneaster and Hawthorne. The yew had red berries also but they are gone.
New Home and Garden
I just re-read this whole thread and I see I didn't follow my original plans very well. I missed the March Plant trip to Alderbrook but am going to try again on the 27th.
My gosh it did change to fall quickly. LOVE this rain. Just finished a good book titled "ZOO"
Creepy
WOW, WOW, WOW! Willow, you have done soooooo much in really a very short time!!
Thanks Holly. The small iris you gave me are planted in the laurel bed, in front of it. They are growing nicely.
The lily didn't bloom, but it did grow and will likely bloom next year. The sedum looks great.
At least everything is cleaned out and weeded. I'm just going back and weeding over and over to get all the disturbed seeds out. Hopefully I will get compost on everything to help for next year.
I bought some reblooming iris and I was surprised to see a bud on one the other day. Will post a pic when it blooms.
I've been planting things. Peonies, hostas, daylilies, hyacinthe, crocus, iris. Should be fun next spring. And I have lots of big worms in the new bed. That was surprising.
That sounds like fun. I too have been planting like crazy.
I finally went out to my old house and dug up a lot of plants on Monday. Didn't get all I wanted but most. Today I got most of them planted. Five more to go and some to rearrange here then that will be it for the year. Then I get to spend the winter working in the basement again.
