Thank you for the complliment, I wish all my neighbors would do the same thing. Pirl, I watched last night the NY dog show, a Scotish Deerhound won, meybe you can get one for your garden, it looked like a very calm and nice dog. Only thing is he was 4 feet tall.
Winter dreaming of clematis...and chat, of course!
Oh Pirl.... how sad for puppy. I always thought those four legged critters were so pretty....now I just want to get rid of them. Onto an brighter note.. those D. Austins are beautiful, hope they do good for you, might be a few years before I add more roses here, (just a few landscape roses, rugosas and red robin hood hedge, fingers are crossed). I want to try some of the cabbage roses, galicas and such. Pix : is Heaven Scent climber that I transplanted at my daughter's house (from J&P), think I'm ready to confiscate it back, it just isn't happy where it is, (maybe it would like me better (LOL).
Kathy - It was a horrid event for us but worse for the other dog, Suga (no "r"). She cried for weeks.
The rugosa roses are the easiest and the most fragrant (to me). Tomorrow I can continue digging holes for them to be ready for their arrival.
I've done trades all over the country and even outside the country. It's always fun.
Thanks for the flowers and the good wishes, Etelka. We only hope to have such beauties in our gardens. You beat me to it with the heart! I'll start a new thread shortly.
