Today, had the wonderful opportunity to meet vic, who lives about an hour away, and we went to a wholesale nursery that specializes in native NC plants. Great time together! I have also been lucky enough before today to meet GrannyLois (Dave's mother), Woodspirit1, and Quynh. Aren't we lucky to have such a great circle of friends???
Meeting other DG'ers
How wonderful.(pouting nobody asked me come)he he. It is great to meet your DG buddies I hope to get to meet lots of them.Yes Darius we are very lucky!
I don't think my chances of meeting anyone are very good. Am I the only one from North Dakota? How about South Dakota or Montana? I would love to meet some garden friends face to face.
Joan
Joan, I know there are some Nebraskans here, and I think there are a few Dakotoans, too (don't remember if it's North or South.) Keep your chin up and keep your eyes peeled (?) for 'em!!!!
Joan - would love to meet you, but unless you plan on coming to Ohio, it'll have to wait until Summer! Brrrrrr! :o) GW & GH
I have only seen and talked to one person who lives here in Colorado but I haven't seen her on here in quite a while.
there's nothing like meeting and talking on the phone with DGers. I've been very fortunate to have done both with several members, and hope to increase that number in the next year.
Kelly333 and I met at her house in Longview about 10 miles from me and had a postage free trade. She saw me on DG and noticed where I was from and e-mailed me. She's a really great new friend and we would never have met if not for DG. Maybe someday we could have a DG Reunion of sorts, somewhere central, and see who all could come for say the week-end. Pam
I've talked to Lisa and Ellen over the web using Yahoo Messenger. The voice chat feature has worked great for us most of the time, except during times of heavy congestion (like tonight, right Lisa? Sigh). And it's freeeeeeee!! You can go to http://www.yahoo.com and click on the Yahoo Messenger link for more info.
Gardenwife is right It is great. I wish more people would use it. I can't seem to get my friends to do it but they just have no idea what they are missing out on.
yeppers! It is a neat thing! I talk to folks all over with it! Even outside of the U.S. 95% of the time it works great! Daruis, so glad you had such a nice meeting.
Whatever happend to quyn? she was on her cross country trip and never came back??
I would love to meet anyone of you! If you are traveling through Southern Arizona...give me a shout. I'm just 30 miles south of I-10. I hope to be in TN in June (DS lives there), and will go on to Va, WV, and maybe KY. Didn't get the name roadrunner for nothing! I also am availabe to chat on MSN, ICQ and AOL IM. Email me and I will give you my name. Jo
