Dana, Your brugs are beautiful. Very envious of your climate. But I am going to try some again this year.

Mulberry, FL

Hi d dmail me your address some of my family lives in salt lake they say its pretty tough to grow there unless you grow in your bathroom 0 humidity. I sent them plumeria never got any pic's back so I know what happened there.

Brigham City, UT(Zone 5b)

Hi Dana, I was successful for 2 years with getting a few beautiful flushes of color from my Brugs. I just couldn't overwinter them the last year. I am very excited to try them again.

Mulberry, FL

Thanks you give me hope for them as this spring I am sending them cuttings they say they will try.

Dana I was repotting them today Fresh soil, & feed so i cann see how they are going to do for me also bought another heater to put over by them in hopes they will think it is spring time :)

The hibiscus is beautiful. I have some hardy hibiscus just sprouting. I gathered seed from my plants and started them in the baggie. I could not believe how fast they started - within 5 days I had to plant them. It is so much fun.

Seeds are fun and there is so many plants out there that are easy to grow from seeds. I was hooked with the dixie cup with a top on it with the bean that we did in school to show a seedling will grow to the light lol

I love the pics! You brug lovers from Florida keep me going in the cold winters here when I'm jonesing for pretty brug blooms and my brugs have none.
I have to over winter mine inside. I'm fighting the dreaded aphids this year and so far it's a draw. I can keep them at bay but haven't been able to get rid of them completely.
Spring cannot come soon enough.

Mulberry, FL

First year I keep the cuttings inside and had to battle too. I keep them out side where it gets cold and there gone. I have heard put sand about 1 inch thick they can't get thru that. Yes I figure the cold weather folks would enjoy these and the ones that can't garden any more like to see a few flowers :)

Here it is this morning getting a little more color

Very good your off to a good start, fine job!

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

it has dipped to the 20's the last couple days so I hope i can keep it warm for them :) in here I can hardly keep my fingers warm the last few days :) but they seem to like it .

Mulberry, FL

As long as you can stand it they will won't grow or much but they will hang in there. I would keep them on the dry side when it gets cold and there not doing much they don't need the drink. Good luck with them. You know what your doing :)

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

My vines are not doing well at all but i did save seeds to plant in spring
