CLOSED: What kind of spider is this? (Northern Virginia)

I found this guy already deceased in my foyer when I got home from work, likely the work of my two cats. It's pretty big, and I'm not fond of spiders, but I've seen this kind of spider outside of my condo as well and was wondering if they tend to get indoors a lot or if they're aggressive (I plan on starting a garden in the spring).
