They are huge!!! Please tell me they are not the Crazy Ants that have been slowly creeping this way from Tx that has been reeking havoc to everyones homes there!!
I found them in a pot of dirt I dumped out. I killed all I found. Look at the size of the pinchers on the one on the right on the side wall of the bucket I put them in
Carpenter Ants, I believe.
More likely a Formica sp. - I am unaware of any Camponotus sp. in Mississippi being so uniform yellow in color.
You're probably right. I'm seeing them as more red than yellow.
