im off to see ginge...yeehaw

well, im off to meet ginge from our forum here...we arent too far from each other...we were suppose to meet at a local swap but it rained,i was suppose to go last weekend but my car was dead...now im off for sure today, in just about an hour.....i cant wait to take notes(she is very wise)and to see all her orchids(i have seen a few pics)and boy does she have a FEW of them...lol...im gonna take her mine that is so sad and pitiful looking to see if she can bring it back to life or if it goes to the big orchid compost pile in the sky...lol....i will see if i can get her to take a pic with me and i will post it when i get back...ttfn...have a happy:)

well i made it back...i dont know where to begin....she really has to get some of her pics in here if they arent already.....i was in total awe...oh man...talk about orchids...i know nothing about them and i was just floored....they are so beautiful even when not in bloom...i think she has one of every kind...lol....she is soooo cool...my type of person, likes to talk plants and she knows her stuff....which i need to learn more.....and her birds...lol...there are 2 that have Beatles' hair cuts....lmao...my little girl thought they were so cute.....i had my camera but got too busy talking that i didnt even think to take any pics...oh well shes not that far so im sure we will meet again...lol...i took her some plants but not anything compared to what she gave me....let see i came home with 2 a.v's and one little one that she started from a leaf...a brom pup...a diffenbachia(dumbcane?)....begonia, nice green looks like angel wing but only a little smaller....a leaf off of her corkscrew begonia...she really should post a pic of that beautiful plant....i hope my leaf roots and i get a plant like hers...lol...now i left my orchid with her, she has examined it,says that she believes it would have been an oncidium(spelling)....it is pretty much dead...if it can be brought back to life at all, im sure she can do it...lol....she gave me 2 phalanopsis, a dendrobium(spelling, im new to orchids)OMG......i thought she was just gonna give me one little baby orchid, i came home with 3.......yeehaw....oh and my mimosa tree...its a nice little guy we dug right outta the yard...hes about 3 feet or so...and i alread found his spot in my yard, can you believe it......lol....we talked and i had a really good time....i hope we can do it again....maybe she can come see me on her way through my town.....lol....or we will just meet at jacobs cave this spring.....i am so very happy for what she gave me.....one day maybe i can return one of the orchid babies to her, to show that she taught me well....lol....ginge am i forgetting anything.....lol...im gonna go and write down all that i got, cuz its already got its spot on my desk, shelf and bar top in the kitchen...lol.....doin the happy dance...yeehaw...:))

omg....i did forget something very special....a pot full of eppiphylum called 'bow tie'....oh man, yall have no idea how happy i am.....woohoo...:)

How cool! Glad you had an awesome day! The birds with the Beatles haircuts -- are they moptop canaries? My mom used to raise canaries and I always thought they looked like Moe off The Three Stooges! :O)
