i've seen this bug flying around indoors sometimes(i live near an atlantic forest, on the south of Brazil), it looks like an ant/wasp/fly mixture, it has red eyes and this short snout-like thing in its head. it's rear pair of legs are long, the middle ones are a little shorter and the front legs are smaller, thinner and they have a white color in their tip. it flies really fast.
sorry for the bad quality picture (i took it with my cellphone), i've also added a video and a sketch i made.

Possibly a hunting wasp of some type?
This appears to be a true fly rather than a wasp; perhaps in family Micropezidae? http://diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=33926&pid=150799
