How to collect seed from passiflora lutea

Our PlantFiles data says seed can be collected when fruits are substantially overripe.

I don't have any experience trying to harvest seed from fruit for flowering plants like this. Any tips?

I pick the fruits off when they are dark purple and make sure the seeds have absorbed the purple before rinsing through a small strainer, then drying & packaging. Soak in vinegar 10 mins before planting.
