Hi,
I believe this could belong to the Ichneumonidae family, and I have some idea to which species it might be but I'm an amateur and would like to hear from more knowledged people on this. I believe this is a female, judging by the colors.
Anyone know any more exact ID than it being Ichneumonidae ? or am I even way off on that?

Definitely an ichneumonid, but in order to get a subfamily or beyond you'd probably have to submit the photo to an expert in the field. Ichneumon wasps are one of the hardest groups of insects to identify!
