you all have been so great in helping me figure out what I did wrong with the graphics that I would like your help to see if you can hear the music in the background of this page. If you have any input of whether or not to have music on the pages, that would be great. Many thanks to all of you

I hear it. Not big on music on pages myself, but it does go with your site. I think that's the only place music should be, sites like that.

If I sounded rude, I do apologize. I didn't mean it that way. I reread what I wrote, and it sounds awful!! Please forgive me, I'm not really good with words, that's why my posts are often so short. I think it sets the mood for your site and enhances it. So sorry if I seemed like i didn't like it.

No Tig, I understood what you meant, it's alright. That's why I wanted an opinion from from some people. I know I have been to sites where I just wish the music would stop playing :o) but it never does......lol

Flowox-Heard it loud and clear. Very appropiate for your site.

flowox, it is very fitting on your site, but I'll play devil's advocate here - I REALLY dislike music on pages. Why? Because it slows down the load of the website page (and I have an ISDN line, so I don't know what it does to those on dial-up connections), and it sometimes even locks up my computer. Now that may be due to the fact that I have a crochety computer but it's happened more than once. The last time it happened I lost an entire e-mail full of new DG quotes for the newsletter. I was almost ready to send it to Dave, and I hadn't saved it as a draft. I was mad as a wet hen: at myself for not saving it along the way (it was 170+ quotes), and at the webmaster who had included music on the website I was trying to access.

So there's a different viewpoint for you to consider. The decision is ultimately yours, and you may find you get more positive responses than negatives :) Your site looks GREAT by the way ;0)

I wasn't able to get to the site - I got an error. :o( Not knowing what you have there, here's some suggestions. LOL! You could link to some midi files on-site that people could click on to listen to. That way the option would be there if they wanted it. Midi files are nice and tiny, too, so they're great for that sort of thing. If you do end up having music, make sure there is a player control right at the top of the page so visitors can quickly turn it off it they don't want to hear it.
