Hello,
I found this bug in the grass and I have no idea what it is.

Traits:
big eyes
6 legs no claws
Big as thumb
in grass
in western Massachusetts
Looks like it can fly but I'm not positive it can

Looks like a water bug which is a predator in water (tadpoles and other small animals).

I typed that in on google and you were really close. I fount it to be a Lethocerus (scientific name) or Giant water bug(Common name). Thank you! If you didn't say that I wouldn't have figured it out!
