Thanks for the greeting yer a wunnerful bunch
I'm all stiff and sore from the motel bed crunch

The Grandkids were terrific both teens and the tots
I hugged and I squeezed them an kissed them all lots.

We canceled the journey down into Mexico
Because my DH was not a wantin ta go.

So I let him appease me by buying me things
A new scanner, c-d writer and new wedding rings.

I think I came out pretty good on that deal
Then a digital camera for DD the bargin to seal!

We spent 2 days in Reno and it was all right
But I gambled very little cause with money I'm tight!

But I am sure glad to be back at my computer fer shore
I couldn't stand being away from ya all anymore!

That Zany...(she's ZANY!)...and muse? (she's a-MUSE-ing)
Sure sounds like you raked it in too Zany! Wow, now THAT'S a vacation!! (new wedding rings? hmmmm, story there?) (she must've lost 'em folks when they went skinny dipping in the Hot-Oil Springs after they left the teens and the tots, you know..a place to wind down?)

Well Shoe the real story is like this....I was jest a lil thang when we wed an my rings they was tiny too. Then after the wedding I discovered food...Biscuits n gravy n bacon n eggs chocolate n icecream n tacos n well you get the ideer. Anyway I got right friendly with the food and grew a fork where my right hand was and the other one jest bloated up so much that them tiny rings didn't fit anymore. Jewler said he couldn't stretch that gold as fur as I had stretched the fingers so I gave them tiny rings ta my dear daughter an finally replaced em.

As for the rest of the loot...I used bribery and blackmail of course!

Welcome back Zany, fat fingers and all. When I worked in the grocery business and a cashier rung something wrong(bs) (before scanners) we would call them fat fingers. Christmas came early or late one.

All that loot....and 2 days in Reno?????

The rest of the story is simple as pies
We saw 4 of the Grandkids bringin tears to my eyes

Went through the batteries, set after set,
took oodles of pics I am downloading yet !

Even the pooch is glad to be back at home
The kids hugged and squeezed him now he can roam.

The weather was perfect, niether too hot or cold
But my bones are weary cause I'm gettin old.

Got back to the garden to find it so dry
that the plants were a wiltin and ready to die.

Now my DD IM's me when I am on line
She's not doin well but says she is fine.

We had Christmas early whilst we were there
The kids thought it great that Santa should care

to see us together opening gift after gift
was fun and exciting and our spirits did lift.

And that's the whole story, not much else ta tell,
cept the Reno "honeymoon" was delightfull as well!

Oh Zany your really back. I said in a post somewhere we would know you where back when we saw a poem. Welcome back.. I missed you and your laughter and poems....... (((Zana)))( ok I am in a huggie mood tonight give me a break .lol )

I read that Mystic. I did not want to disappoint you! It is really great to be home and back in DG where I belong. I was having horrid withdrawal pains and found it difficult to concentrate away from my trusty computer but I survived sonehow. It is so nice to be greeted back by my friends. Thanks all aof you so much. it really made my day. :)
