This spider crawled out of my closet this morning and almost up my pant leg while I was sitting on the floor. He wasn't agressive at all, just sort of wandering I think. My location is Lincoln, CA which is in the Sacramento area. Please nobody get upset that I killed it. I was concerned that it may be poisonous because we've seen a lot of black widows since we moved in. I just need to know what kind this monstrous spider is and if it's poisonous or not.
CLOSED: California Spider- Poisonous?
After some research on the internet, I was kind of thinking a hobo spider? If I had the "guts" to get down and dirty with handling the spider I could look at its anatomy closer and determine for sure, but... yeah probably not going to happen.
Can someone at least tell me it's NOT a hobo spider? That would make me REALLY happy!

Hobo spiders are not known to occur in California.
