We came from here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1221966/
Time to start a new thread. The last one contains some good stuff.
Seems to me the overall quality of our pictures is really improving. And the variety, wow! We are so fortunate to have contributors from England, Australia, South Africa and all across North America. Let's keep it going.
Not much happening around here today, bird-wise. I will start off with our resident Cardinal that has finally finished his molt. Unfortunately, his color is almost lost against the color of the brick wall behind him.
Daily pics Vol. 416
Wow Dave! You really know how to start a thread. Gorgeous shots!
Nice pics on the last thread too. Elaine, I had my first yellow-throated warbler last week but I didn't get nearly as good a photo as you did. Nice job!
I'm going through my valley photos. Thought I'd share this one, a buff-bellied hummer.
Excellent shots Dave! Thanks for starting the new thread!
Love that hummer and others Elphaba!!
I LOVE those owl shots Resin! That long-eared one has really beautiful coloring.
Thank you Cousin Dave for a nice start of the new thread. I'm a big fan of your birds especially the Blues. Love that diving shot of the American Goldfinch. Geez, Elphy I'd like one of each of those lovely birds you are sharing above. I've not seen any of those first 3 lovelies you've posted. The group-shot was nice too. Resin, wow to be able to catch those Owls is something else!
As I'm looking out for migratory birds, yesterday I was rewarded with two lovely kinds, the Vireos and the Grosbeaks, I saw one of the juvie or female Grosbeak again today, but not much else. I've seen many flocks of Canadian Geese arriving to our area the past few days, then a little while ago, I saw this pair of Mallards. I'm anticipating the American Coots arrival, but not yet.
Thanks for the nice start Dave! Your shots are always amazing... but I got a real smile out of your dive-bombing Goldfinch!
Elphaba... you have an incredible variety of birds! Wow! I must comment on the hummer... it is gorgeous!
Grits... nice set of the Pine Siskins!
Resin... I love owls! They are all so beautiful... I really like your Short-eared Owls!
I have a new camera!!! My hubby is the best! Instead of buying himself a new camera when he was ready to upgrade to DSLR from his SX-30, he took my T1i and bought me the brand new T3i! I must confess though... he got the 70-300mm lens and I kept the 100-400mm! LOL!
Here's a variety from the past few days! We have had so much clouds and rain lately, it was didfficult to get out on my days off to try out the new camera!
We'll start with a Cardinal from my balcony...
lovely birds.
Great shots to start the new thread Dave!! Love the Titmouse!
Nice shots Elphaba! Great variety!
Nice shots of your Owl's Resin!
Nice job with your Pine Siskin's grits!
VA Rose...congrats on the new camera...lots of nice shots, love the Pileated's.
Well it rained the last 4 days but now clear sky's for a while...got a few today to share.
Eastern Phoebe
