Pink Rambler
Morning Glories 2011 #17
Jackie, that is beautiful!
I love that one Jackie!
Thanks girls, it was kind of pretty in a strange sort of way.
Love those purples dripping with dark shadows - very nice purp saz, Jackie
Jackie, you're welcome and mwahahaha - we all need to try more "dark shadows" crosses next year...with chocolate notes
nice decolored crest with white tips (do I have that right?)
If I ever knew, I can't remember now Karen. I'm sure you're right. :-)
Now that is a tricky combination: sure + right. Hah! not me, but to anyone who might be curious, there's a link in the sticky index to Dr. Yoneda's book which might have the answer.
Beautiful blooms Jackie and Debra. So nice to see so many different colors and blooms this late in the season.
We have a cold front passing here too, most of my vines are inside gh since last night.I hope to get some nice blooms eventually. But a few purpureas outside.

Debra, Nice pics and I love your blooms. The yellows are so nice to see, my favorites. Great pink fealthered
and 1st convolvulus I've seen in a long time, very pretty
I'm enjoying all the nice Purpureas, yours is lovely Helena.
My pic not very good but this is one of my favorite vines. So red looking
Oh Nick you are so welcome. I love it, and what a great pic to show it off!!

Nick that is a really nice shot there. I love those Purps of Ronnies.
Jackie that is beautiful, as is yours Ronnie. BB is a cool looking blue.
Nick, regarding your photo here - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8834229 - what a glorious way for azure to meet velvet purple - can't remember when we last had a sky like that around here - we've either fried or fermented all summer. very lovely purp
Ronnie - wow to http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=8834955 - your illuminated BB teeters nicely over its dark abyss - gorgeous
Jackie - I thought you thought you couldn't take pictures? Your porch beauty glows with pink shadows like an iceberg at sunset - awesome
Debra - enjoyed your MG gallery of such diverse personalities - a stroll in your garden must be like globe trotting without the camels and water buffalo
just a great thread - thanks everyone
karen
Pretty Helena, I always liked the Kawaiis!
Karen. No I've been taking pics all summer.with my new camera. :-) What I said was that I couldn't find my pics after I uploaded them for 2 days. Somehow I fixed the problem without having a clue exactly what I did, lol. I found the missing pics on the same page as where my g kids save their paint pics.
Ronnie, was your beautiful blue from my Blue Blizzard sds or my Weird Saz that made such beautiful blooms last summer?
Oops, Karen the last pic I sent was from my pretty hige from Colins sds he shared a couple of yrs ago. Also
looks like that gorgeous hige bloom that Emma gets
Helena, nice blooms you're getting.
My Indica finally bloomed today. Thanks to Emma for this one.
Helen & Ronnie - me too, about loving those shorter mgs like the Kawaniis - they fill that niche for smaller mg plants along with some others. Remember Atenkley? He's been doing some interesting breeding with the crystal gene (dramatic splashes of cream o leaves) which, if I remember correctly, goes with another gene limiting plant size. Atenkley's website is here: http://cubits.org/theyard/ . And I think Gardener2005 may also be working with smaller mg plants: http://cubits.org/lakemarygardenscubit/ . I seem to recall Becky and Dany musing about genetically small mg plants with giant flowers. If Becky stays with indoor mg growing, I wonder what she might come up with?
Jackie, if you can find whatever you're looking for, then you're well ahead of me urk.
Oops Debra, not Karen,. silly me. Lovely asortment of blooms.Debra.
