This beast just crawled along my skirting, giving me the heebie jeebies. Anyone have any idea what kind of spider it is, i.e, not gonna eat my kids or owt eh? I've never seen anything the like of it in my life and it's without a doubt the biggest bugger that's ever been in the house.

I'm from Glasgow, in the UK, if this helps.

I think it's a Giant House Spider, Tegenaria duellica. Scary looking but harmless.
