Found this one nectaring on some type of statice at an old abandoned nursery site. This picture was taken in Fort Morgan, located on the NE plains of CO, around noon on a hot sunny day. I'm not even sure if it is a butterfly, as it looks more like a cross between a skipper and a moth.

CLOSED: What type of butterfly am I?
You might try putting your pics on the butterfly forum. The people that frequent that forum seem to know all the butterflies very well.
Not a butterfly, but a moth in the family Noctuidae.
when i was younger, i used to Noctuidae, ... but i've had to cut back
Flapdoodle, you are right, and I believe it to be a Schinia mortua. I sent it to BAMONA for ID so we'll see what they say. It confused me by its midday feeding on flowers, but it is a flower moth that does feed in the day. Thanks.
