Please help identify this spider

this guy or gal made a beautiful web from the side of our house to a bush. about 2" from the tips.

i think it's just a garden spider, but I've never seen one like this and i want to make sure it's nothing dangerous.

Nope, not dangerous. An Orb Weaver and very beneficial.
