Help! I had a beautiful Viburnum trilobum Redwing Select that would not leaf out on one side. I cut a branch and took it to a nursery man with knowledge and he looked inside the cut and said "that looks like verticillium wilt". Sure enough, we both looked it up and the images were very similar. Now, the two hydrangeas on either side look sick. Against my better judgement, I got the Viburnum out and dug up a small Ninebark that was outgrowing its space and planted it there. I feel it will die. I've done research on this horrible fungus and apparently there is no control. Are they right?? Is there ANYTHING I can plant there??
