I live in Northeast Indiana and bought a new house 2 months ago. We've been battling these spiders ever since. We find at least one or two a day.

it is a brown grass spider I am pretty sure

I agree with Grass Spider. Very beneficial. It's possible some of the others are Wolf Spiders hunting these.
