Would appreciate some help with fritillaries

I've pored over the Bugfiles pics, but would still like it if someone could confirm - or dispute - my id on some of the butterflies in my yard today. This one I have tentatively id'd as a Great Spangled Frit. Am I right?

This one is much smaller. I'd put it at half the size. I have cropped the pic, so it may appear larger than it is. I don't know what it is, unless it's a meadow fritillary. And we seem to have quite a few of them.
