CLOSED: Some kind of predatory bug??

Wood River, IL

I noticed some small red ant type bugs on my eggplant this morning. They have 6 black legs and their feelers are black as well. Their bodies are bright red in color. Then we looked at the back of the leaf and there was a line of cylinder like eggs right down the center vein of the leaf. They were also red in color but a duller red. I took a couple pictures you can see them better. I am just wondering if they are some kind of predatory bug or if they are harmful to my eggplant. Thank you all ahead of time for your information.

The bug description sounds like an aphid, but could be other things. . I don't know what their eggs look like, I have never seen a line of eggs like that. In my experience, predatory bugs are usually single and bad bugs are often in crowds.

I found out they are leaf-footed bugs....Bad nasty things so they have been removed from my eggplant...Thank you for the help.
