My daughter on the eastern shore has many of these living under her house and sees them often in her garden. Any id welcome, sorry the pics aren't more clear, but her hands were shaking lol!

If she can get a look at it, check for upturned snout. Maybe it is an eastern hog nosed adder. They can stink if you startle and i don't believe the snake will bite but does lunge.
I'll tell her to try to get a better look, thanks.
