Community needs positive thoughts/prayers

southeast, NE

You all are so great about helping those in need. Seward, Nebraska, a town with a population of 6,000, has had its share of "downs" this year. First, the high school principal committed suicide. Second, a tornado hit the community this summer. The "final straw" was this weekend when a school bus full of band students returning home from a band competion, veered off the road and landed in a ravine. Two students and a mother were killed. Eight are still in critical condition. So could you please keep those who are still injured physically as well as those hurt emotionally in your prayers? Thanks!

NJ-that is alot to deal with-yes their in our prayers!

Jewell, What a terrible tragedy. Prayers coming from my way for the family and friends of those that didn't survive and are now angels, and for the seriously injured and their families, the school,to give them strength to move on and for the community to give support for those in need. Prayers go out to them all.

That's an awful lot for any community to go through. I will keep them in my prayers. I am wondering if we as a community of gardeners could band together and send this little town a "get well card". Anybody got any idea how to do that?

Mary, that's a good idea, but I don't have any inspiration as to how.

Jewel, things hit small towns so hard - I'll be praying for the whole community.
