I took this pic in my garden and have been wondering what kind of butterfly this is?? It looks like a common one but I am not sure when it comes to the names of all the different butterflies.. thanks

Perhaps Great Spangled Fritillary (Speyeria cybele). Here's one that looks similar to yours:
